Walking With You in Every Season of Life
Inspired by the compassionate witness of Saint Olga of Alaska, we accompany those carrying the wounds of pregnancy loss, infertility, abortion, trauma, and abuse, while supporting women, families, clergy, and all who seek Christ’s healing, hope, and love.
Inspired by that same compassionate witness, we also walk beside women in the joyful seasons of life. Whether you are discerning your vocation, preparing for marriage, welcoming a child, raising a family, or seeking to grow more deeply in Christ. As the St. Olga Ministry grows, we hope to expand the ways we accompany women and families through prayer, education, fellowship, retreats, pastoral care, and practical resources.

About St. Olga Ministry
The St. Olga of Alaska Ministry is a pastoral ministry of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey of the Orthodox Church in America, established with the blessing of His Eminence, Archbishop Michael. Inspired by the life and compassionate witness of Saint Olga of Kwethluk, Alaska, this ministry seeks to accompany women through every stage and season of life while also supporting spouses, families, clergy, and all who seek Christ’s healing, hope, and guidance.
A Growing Resource Library
Our website is a growing resource library and represents one part of the broader work of the St. Olga Ministry. The resources below reflect areas of support currently available through the website. As the ministry grows, we will continue to develop and add resources for other areas that touch the lives of women and families.
Our hope is that this library will continue to grow alongside the ministry, offering Orthodox Christian guidance, encouragement, and compassionate support through every season of life.
For Clergy, Parishes, Families, and Friends
The ministry also provides resources for clergy, parish leaders, family members, and friends, helping them offer compassionate, Christ-centered care and accompaniment to those they serve and love.
Events & Reading Groups
The St. Olga Ministry seeks to bring women together not only by providing resources, but also by creating opportunities to pray, learn, reflect, and grow in faith alongside one another.
Throughout the year, the ministry offers retreats, gatherings, and seasonal reading and prayer groups. Some are held in person, while others allow women to participate from their own homes. Each offers a different way to step away from the busyness of daily life, deepen our prayer, and experience the encouragement that comes from knowing we are walking with other Orthodox women.
Why St. Olga?
Saint Olga of Alaska is lovingly remembered as an intercessor for women who have suffered trauma, abuse, and wounds of body and soul. Through her quiet compassion and self-giving love, she became a sign of Christ’s healing for those carrying pain from violence, loss, and the struggles of pregnancy and childbirth. Many turn to her in prayer, trusting her motherly care and example of mercy to bring comfort, restoration, and hope.
Prayer to Matushka Olga

O Righteous Matushka Olga, hear our prayer as we lift up our hearts to you, trusting in the power of your ceaseless intercession. Even as you spread the warmth of your maternal love over the souls of the needy, abused and broken, so warm our souls also, healing our pain and bringing us the love of Christ. Through your prayers, may we walk in the paths of peace, pleasing our Lord and glorifying His Name, and so finally fail not to enter into the joy of His eternal Kingdom, praising our God forever before His throne: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
